Traditional timber parting beads can be removed quite easily from outside the property with just a chisel and mallet, allowing the sash to be lifted out and giving an intruder access to the property. Our tamper-resistant Securibead makes this far more difficult. No product can deter a truly determined intruder given enough time, but Securibead makes removal significantly harder and slower — and intruders are far more likely to move on to an easier target than persist with a property fitted with Securibead. Designed as a direct replacement for traditional timber parting bead, Securibead also dramatically improves draughtproofing and reduces noise ingress. Made from tough, rigid PVC and secured with stainless steel screws at multiple points, it’s suitable for both new and refurbished sash windows — making it the right choice for conscientious homeowners who take security seriously.
