Brass passivation is a chemical surface treatment that removes contaminants and forms a protective, non-toxic barrier on the metal. By creating an inert oxide layer, it substantially reduces atmospheric corrosion and tarnishing while preserving the brass’s aesthetic shine
Brass antiquing and passivation involves stripping and oxidizing the bare metal with a chemical agent to create a dark or Verdigris patina, and sealing the finish to protect it from ongoing corrosion.
