What is a Boston Hinge®?
Mighton’s Boston Hinge® replaces the conventional Baton rod hinge and screws found in a Simplex system. In a traditional Simplex system, the Staff bead is swung outward on Baton Rod Hinges and secured using Baton Rod screws. The Boston Hinge replaces those. Its a combined hinge and screw, meaning you only fit one component instead of two. A neat and ingenious replacement that includes the threaded inserts for fitting to the sash frame. A simple idea that saves you time & money.
