Traditional Steel Sash Weights

Traditional steel sash weights are an integral part of any sash window and steel sash weights were designed by Mighton in 1985. As square steel weights are denser than their round cast iron counterparts, you can squeeze more weight into your window box allowing you to compensate for heavier sashes.

A sash window weight is used to counter-balance the weight of a sliding sash in a sash window and thus hold it in position at any height.

Our lead & steel weights can be collected from our Letchworth Depot and are available for next day delivery. For help on the size you need, use our handy sash weights calculator.
