The Angel WOCD® Face-Fix is a genuine Window Opening Control Device (WOCD) — not a window restrictor. It limits how far a sash window can open in everyday use, guarding against the moment a window is left open and unlocked without anyone remembering to relatch it, while still allowing full opening for emergency escape when needed.
- Not a restrictor — a certified WOCD: tested to ASTM F2090-21 (US) and BS EN 14351-1:2006 (UK) — one of the few window safety devices certified to both
- No key involved: nothing to leave unlocked, mislay, or search for in an emergency
- Fast egress: releases in seconds with a simple two-action push-and-slide — no key, tool, or special knowledge required — so the window opens fully for fire escape or rescue
- Automatically resets on closing: once the window is shut again, the safe opening limit re-engages on its own, so the window can’t be left open beyond that limit by accident — no one has to remember to reset it
- Fitted in pairs: one unit to each stile of the top sash, for timber sash windows
- Available in 9 finishes, including our ultra-durable PVD Brass
- Supplied complete: pair of units, mini-strikeplates, and screws included
**PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), is a strong, wear-resistant finish known for its high durability and scratch resistance.
*Lacquer can hinder tarnishing, but with handling, lacquered brass products will eventually tarnish leaving an authentic ‘used’ look.
