Hodgson Heritage Putty 290ML

Hodgson Heritage Putty 290ML

About

An elastic, paintable, hybrid polymer putty that gives the classic appearance of a traditional putty front — with modern performance. Heritage Putty is moisture-cured, permanently elastic, and suitable for:

  • Glazing single or laminated glass where the appearance of a traditional putty front is required
  • Restoration and replacement of glazing in period properties, listed buildings and conservation areas
  • Use in contact with the edge sealant of Insulating Glass Units (IGUs) and the PVB interlayer of laminated glass
  • Use in the H1 Glazing System, as a sole paintable and elastic bedding-and-fronting compound
  • Use in the H5 Glazing System, as a paintable elastic bedding compound used with a traditional fronting putty
  • Use in the H7 Glazing System, as a paintable elastic bedding compound where glass is bead-glazed

Key Features

  • Isocyanate-, silicone- and solvent-free — sensitiser-free, limiting allergic reactions
  • Proven moisture-cure — durable and permanently elastic
  • Low residual tack; optimised application and tooling properties
  • Paintable with water- and solvent-based systems within hours. We recommend a compatibility test before painting, and applying paint a few days after glazing for best results — solvent-based paints can take longer to dry over Heritage Putty, so a water-based system is often the simpler choice
  • Excellent adhesion to prepared timber, steel and stone
  • High strength, durable, and excellent UV resistance
  • Shore A hardness 70–75; elongation at break >150%; shrinkage <2.5%
  • Service temperature range: −40°C to +90°C
  • Suitable for internal or external use
  • Available in White and Black, 290ml cartridges
  • Technical Data Sheet available for download
