Bostik Linseed Oil Putty (EVO-STIK)
A traditional, genuine linseed-oil glazing putty for external face glazing of door and window frames. EVO-STIK Linseed Oil Putty is over-paintable, works well on uneven frames, and has been specially formulated to give improved drying performance on non-porous surfaces — making it a dependable choice for classic timber and metal glazing.
Suitable for wood and metal frames. Not suitable for use with insulated glass (double glazing) or heat-absorbing glass.
Like all linseed-oil putties, it needs a full paint system to protect it long-term: an undercoat plus at least one top coat, applied once the putty has set sufficiently to accept paint — but always within 4 weeks of glazing. Avoid painting while the surface has only skinned, as this can trap moisture and compromise the finish.
