Hardware Orders – Delivery charges
FREE same-day despatch with next working day delivery on orders over £95* (ex VAT).
We work hard to keep our product prices competitive, and free delivery is one of the ways we pass value back to our customers. However, the cost of transport — particularly to remote areas and for bulky items — means we’re unable to extend free delivery to every order:
Remote and non-mainland areas: We’re unable to offer free delivery to the Highlands, Islands, and other remote UK areas, or to destinations outside the UK. Courier costs to these locations are significantly higher than to UK mainland addresses.
Bifold door hardware: These items are bulky and increase courier charges, so they’re excluded from the £95 free delivery offer.
Below these thresholds, or outside these areas, standard delivery charges apply based on service and postcode.

Sash Weight Orders – Delivery charges
Delivery costs for weights ordered online or by phone are calculated based on the desired service, weight, and postcode area.
The cost of transporting steel and lead weights rises sharply with weight — far more than for our typical hardware orders — particularly to remote and non-mainland locations. Because of this:
Orders with weights (steel only, lead only, or a mix) valued over £750 ex VAT qualify for free delivery. This reflects the value of the order justifying the transport cost.
This free delivery does not extend to the Highlands, Islands, and other remote UK areas, or to destinations outside Great Britain. Courier costs to these locations remain too high to absorb, even on larger orders.
Below the £750 threshold, or in excluded areas, delivery is charged based on weight, service, and postcode — this keeps our core pricing competitive by ensuring costs are borne by the orders that create them, rather than being spread across all customers.

Orders Containing Both Weights and Hardware
Where a single order contains both sash/make weights and other hardware, delivery is assessed as follows:
The £750 ex VAT free-delivery threshold applies to the value of the weights lines only, not the order as a whole. An order with £700 of weights and £200 of hardware does not qualify for free weights delivery, even though the combined order value exceeds £750.
The £95 ex VAT hardware threshold applies only to orders that do not contain any weights lines. If weights are present anywhere on the order, the £95 offer does not apply — the whole order is treated under the weights delivery rules above.
If the weights lines alone reach £750 ex VAT, the weights delivery is free and the accompanying hardware travels with it at no extra charge, provided the delivery address is not in an excluded area.
Remote area and non-mainland exclusions apply to the whole order where any weights are present — free delivery is not available on any part of a mixed order going to an excluded postcode.
This ensures the cost of transporting weights is priced consistently regardless of what else is on the order, while avoiding customers being charged twice for a single delivery.

Customer orders received from the EU, Eire and NI are subject to customs clearance fees & documentation charges. The export fee will be advised and charged prior to the despatch of your order. Mighton Products’ terms of delivery are on a delivered-at-place (DAP) basis through our chosen delivery partners, who are responsible for the delivery of the goods including transport costs.
DAP terms exclude import duties and taxes at the point of delivery, if applicable. The costs of carrying out all necessary import formalities are expressly excluded; these charges, if applicable, would need to be paid at the destination by the customer prior to release of goods and onward from the delivery company.
Latest time for same-day order processing
We are ready to take your hardware, weights and paint orders from 8.30am through to 4.45pm** Monday to Friday. Calls received out of working hours will be transferred to a message service and will be processed the next working day.
** Latest same day processing for orders placed on the website, emailed, faxed or placed by phone are as follows.
Orders excluding weights : 4.45pm
Orders including weights: 4.00pm
Orders for colour-matched paint: 4.00pm

If you’d prefer to fax your order to us, please send it to 0800 581 703. If we have any queries, we will contact you to confirm the order details prior to processing.
Online orders placed on a Friday
Orders placed online are subject to the latest order processing times listed above and will be delivered on the next working day.
Delivery of orders over a Public or Bank holiday
Please note, if your delivery day falls on a public or Bank Holiday, your delivery will arrive on the first working day after the Bank holiday.
Delivery Options
We know that when you place an order you want the goods as soon as possible. Mighton are committed to providing you with the best customer experience possible. Good customer service includes being up front about when we can deliver it. So we show you your delivery and collection options at the checkout.
If you are based in a remote location or one that our delivery service visit irregularly, we will only show the options available to you. To see your options, please enter your delivery postcode carefully when you create an account or change the delivery address at the checkout.
In most cases however, there will be several options available to you, including Royal Mail Signed For (size & weight limitations apply), Next working day by 6pm, pre-12pm, and Saturday delivery. Please note that these may incur additional costs.
Delivery Guarantees
Our couriers always do their best to supply your products on-schedule, however, sometimes this is more challenging due to your delivery address, the requested delivery time, or the items on your order, and in such cases we will not be able to guarantee that the requested delivery timeframe will be achievable. The website will advise you during the checkout process if you are selecting a delivery service that we cannot guarantee.
Payment Information
We use a secure checkout service, provided by Sagepay. We will never see your card details. Sagepay is an approved payment service provider and used by most major acquiring banks in the UK. Once your order has been processed, we will send you email confirmation of your order together with a sales invoice.
